Ms. Sun Caixia graduated from the University of Iceland as a Master of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in geothermal utilization engineering and HVAC. As a Senior Engineer, her research areas mainly cover the systematic design and feasibility study of geothermal and multiple clean energy integration.
Ms. Sun Caixia has published over 10 Chinese and English papers, owned several patents for innovation or utility models, and led the compilation of multiple professional standards. As the Chief Technical Officer of SGE, she has put forward an efficient energy utilization model for geothermal heating featuring “indirect heat exchange, cascading utilization, and balance between extraction and reinjection”, and helped SGE create the “Xiongxian Model” which has been widely recognized by the geothermal industry in China and globally promoted by IRENA as a clean heating showcase. Besides, as the Chinese ambassador of WING (Women in Geothermal), Ms. Sun Caixia has actively participated in relevant academic activities organized by International Geothermal Association and promoted the influence of China in global geothermal community.
