Horia Ban

President, Romanian Geoexchange Society

Horia Ban is the President of the Romanian Geoexchange Society and the founder of Termoline SRL, which he has been leading for over 25 years. He graduated in 1991 as an engineer from the Faculty of Automation and Computers at the University of Timișoara.

Throughout his career, he has coordinated numerous geothermal projects in Romania, including ground source heat pump and hybrid systems, radiant heating and cooling solutions, energy piles, and advanced HVAC monitoring and control. In 2015, he established the Termoline Research Center to support research, innovation, and modeling in sustainable energy and nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB).

He has also contributed to several European and international research and innovation projects funded by LIFE, Horizon Europe, and Norway Grants, helping to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange in the geothermal sector.
