Dóra Zombori is a Partner at Dentons focusing on energy and government relations.

Prior to joining Dentons, Dóra served as the Deputy State Secretary for Energy Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, where she led the country’s energy diplomacy during a particularly tense period of geopolitical uncertainty and disruptions, ensuring that the country maintained continued access to energy supplies. Her career also includes a notable tenure as Ambassador-at-Large for Energy and Climate, during which she played a pivotal role in negotiating Hungary’s new long-term gas supply contract and building up the government’s climate diplomacy advocacy.

Dóra served as Chargé d’Affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Washington, D.C., between April and November 2020. Earlier in her diplomatic career in Washington, D.C., her assignments at the Embassy included Deputy Chief of Mission and First Counselor for Energy and Political-Military affairs. She was also a Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellow at the United States Department of State from 2015 to 2016. Before her assignments in Washington, D.C., Dóra served as Chief of the Energy Security Division and held various positions, including Energy Policy Advisor and Energy Policy Coordinator at the Department of State. In recognition of her service, she has received numerous Foreign Minister’s Awards and U.S. Assistant Secretary’s Certificate of Appreciation.
