Ákos Samarjai

Energy Engineer, Budapest Spas cPlc.

Ákos Samarjai was born in Budapest in 1996. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics(BME). During his studies, he developed an interest in increasing energy efficiency and implementing environmentally friendly energy solutions, which led him to pursue a master's degree in Energy Engineering at BME. For his thesis, he conducted a study on the alternative utilization of geothermal wasteheat for Budapest Utilities Nonprofit cPlc. Currently, he is following additional studies infinance and accounting at the BME.

After obtaining his energy engineering degree, he was working as a specialist and ISO 50001 consultant. Soon Mr. Samarjai became apermanent employee of Budapest Spas cPlc. as an energy engineer. In his role, he ispromoting transparency and expandability ofmeasurability to as many operating units andsubsystems as possible. One of the projects, he is overseeing is the complete metering of Széchenyi Bath to eliminate idle energy consumption.

During the energy crisis, the Budapest Spas cPlc. achieved outstanding energy savings among Budapest-based companies, in which the work of Mr. Samarjai played a key role.
